Acute Tinnitus

Question: I would be very pleased, if anybody could send me some pieces of information how to handle acute tinnitus. ( I suffer from tinnitus for 3 weeks now. )

Answer: First of all, understand that things will get slowly better. Don't panic, stay calm.

See a good ear-nose-throat man! See what's going on. For now, go to a drugstore and buy yourself some foam earplugs for noisy situations.

Stay off of aspirin, sugar, caffeine, alcohol.

Use a fan to generate white noise if you want to.

Try to get a good night's sleep. (Here's where the fan will help, with the sound.)

Keep in touch with this website. To reiterate: things will eventually get better for you.
