Constant Ringing In Ear

Question: I have a constant ringing in my ear. anyone know why?i dont have a ear infection and im not mentally disabled. but it is constant and is driving me nuts. plus my blood pressure is fine

Answer: Do you smoke? My neighbour had similar probs with her ear (but it was a little painful for her too) and it turns out smoking can cause ear probs (as a result of constantly making the sucking action on a cig). Although, I smoke, and haven't had any ear trouble80% of the population will have some ringing in their ears, its called tinnitus. It may just be the way it is. Nothing can treat it if its caused by loud music/noises and it has damaged the hair cells in the ear. If its caused by something else, it may be treatable. Go see your doc
