Question: my boyfriend has had ear ringing non-stop for the past couple of weeks, his ear now seems to have more pain than usual. should he go see an audio-ologist or an ear, nose, and throat specialist?
Answer: tinitus is what it is called. It's an inner ear infection. Usually associated with swimmers, but can occur in anyone. You need to see a doctor so he can give you some antibiotic ear drops such as cortosporin otic. Not exactly sure what an audio-ologist does but an ear, nose, throat doctor would be a good choice. You may even just have him go to his family doctor. He should be able to tell you the best course of action from there.
