Question: How to stop Tinnitus? It has been bothering me since February.?The Tinnitus is caused by my sinus problems.
Answer: Although tinnitus isn't a respiratory problem, it's very common and I'll try to help you. Sometimes tinnitus is idiopathic, meaning the cause is unknown. It can also be due to ear infection, accumulated cerumen (ear wax) impinging on the tympanic membrane (eardrum), middle ear structural disturbances, hypernatremia (high serum sodium levels) and hypertension. If you know for a fact that your sinus problems are at the root of your tinnitus because you've had this diagnosed by a physician, then you may have middle ear involvement. And if you've been diagnosed, then in all likelihood, the tinnitus has been addressed by the same physician.Has it not? If you've yet to be seen by a doctor, the tinnitus may or may not be resolved once the sinus issues have been resolved. I say may or may not because resolution of one problem doesn't always result in resolution of the other. But it's worth a try.
