Question: What is the Tinnitus Message Board?

Answer: The Tinnitus Message Board is a web-based forum very similar to this with a few exceptions:

1) Instead of being a public the internet website, it is privately owned by a fellow living in Austria named Jeremias. (Although it is privately owned, any and all are welcome to participate.)

2) Absolutely no personal digs, insults, or off-topic posts are permitted. There is no flaming. In order to insure that the above policy is maintained ... and maintained fairly, there are three moderators with the ability to delete posts. Because of the above policy, it is a very civil forum. Folks do not insult one another ... because nobody likes to see his or her posts deleled. At MOSTs one or two posts are deleted per week - usually because of spam. Difference of opinion with a moderator is absolutely NOT an indication for deletion of a post.

3) The moderators are Jeremias (the owner of the board), Jim Chinnis, and me.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But I take exception that a.s.t. is the ONLY site or forum that matters. There are a large number of informative sites on tinnitus. I have found the Tinnitus Message Board very helpful and informative without "commercials" and with far fewer flaming exchanges than occur here. I believe there is plenty of room for both TMB and a.s.t. Newcomers to tinnitus can benefit from both.
