sinus pressure and tinnitus

Question: I recently have one hell of a sinus infection and swelling. CAT scan showed a had "concha bullosa" that was narrowing one side of my sinuses. Had intense pressure in my right side. Dr. prescribed Ultracet for pain and decongestant for the sinus. Somewhere along the way I developed tinnitus after starting the medication and while still feeling the pressure. Thought the ringing would go away after the pressure subsided, but it didn't. Have not seen the dr yet. Hard to get an app't unless you are bleeding to death...LOL

anyway, I have an app't for this Thursday for both the sinus and the ears.

I read here that pressure on a nerve can cause tinnitus.

I'm wondering if anyone else has heard of sinus pressure being related to tinnitus, and what the outcome was.

Like what I read on this forum, I am anxious about what it going on.

I seem to feel some pressure in my ear also, but I'm not sure if this is just my hightened awareness, or something more.

Answer: Seems like sinus pressure could cause tinnitus since ears, nose and throat are all connected.

An ent told me almost 20 years ago, I had a eustacian tube blockage and put me on benadryl, but it didn't work. For some ideas on sound have a look at: http://eebee.net/sound/sound.html
