Vinpocetine Tinnitus

Question: Anyone on here tried vinpocetine?

Answer: Be very careful if you try Vinpocetine it's nasty stuff. It's based on Vinca Minor derived from the Periwinkle plant.

It's a very powerful vaso-dilator which targets the brain. They are raving about how it can improve IQ and all manner of things including Tinnitus relief. However it's more likely to put you in danger of a Cerebral Haemorrage if you self-administer it without doctors strictly monitoring how much you are taking.

Anything that monkeys about with the blood flow to your brain has to be a dangerous thing. It's not likely to have any more effect on Tinnitus than Ghinko, and that has only been shown to improve hearing and tinnitus levels in very elderly patients who are over 70 years old.

Vincamine and Vinpocetine I had heard can actually kill you. It is used for terminally ill cancer patients as a kind of relief drug but of course the risk is more heavily assessed in such cases.

Watch out there's some dangerous stuff about even plant-sourced.
